After learning a good tutorial about how to use XNormal and Topology by Josh Griffen, and I'm going to use his character monster as a test subject for importing into UDK. First I export the model as FBX file, but I will get no textures because the first material was a normal mapping on Maya. However UDK has it owns materials editor to fix the problem.
This is one of the default levels to have a night sky to get light quality.
I go to the content browser, and import the monster.
I drag the monster into the level, and make the size bigger.
Now I will add materiel's to the monster by clicking new materiel on the content browser, and then opens Unreal Materiel Editor, where I can add different types of maps such as normals and diffuse.
I also got new materiel on the content browser and I drag it onto the monster, and the monster texture is different.
I add the photoshop files into the content browser, and then drag onto Unreal Material Editor. I clicked the green tick to apply the textures onto the material.
Finally the monster got textures.
