I made a simple game level test to try out on UDK by making floors and walls from Maya and then export it as FBX file into UDK.
First thing I start a blank map.
Then I opened my content browser and right click import. What I like about importing FBX files is that you can import auto textures, combine meshes, animation data, and other things.
This is my floor I made but in the future I have to research how to make polygons into triangles on Maya.
Then the walls, sky, and lights.
